Dispensary Planned Closure

Our dispensary & repeats line will be closed from 10am - 12pm on Thursday 22nd February to facilitate staff training.

Please do not try to collect any medication or access our dispensary during these times. The rest of the practice will be open as normal and our dispensary team team will be on hand to assist you for the rest of the day outside of these hours and non-urgent queries and requests can be submitted via our website during our closed period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding to allow our team to develop their knowledge and skills to better support you in the future.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please allow UP TO 5 WORKING days before collecting your repeat prescription from the time that we receive it. Prescriptions sent to pharmacies may take longer to process and this should be discussed with the pharmacy directly. Please note requests received during weekends and bank holidays will not be actioned until the next working day.

Medication can be ordered online via the NHS App or Patient Access, or alternatively you can post your repeat prescription slip in to the letter box on the outside of the building (to the left of the main entrance). Please be advised we do not take repeat prescription requests over the telephone.

Your medication can be sent direct to any pharmacy in the country electronically - so please make sure you tell us where you would like it to go.

If you have a repeat prescription query, please contact the practice on 01775 724088 and select option 2 between 1000-1400 only.

Dispensing

If you live more than one mile (in a straight line) from a dispensing chemist you can request that your prescriptions be dispensed at the surgery.

The dispensary is open between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday. If medicines are required urgently when the dispensary is closed patients should contact the Out of Hours Service on 111 for further advice and guidance.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see or speak to a doctor, nurse practitioner, practice nurse or clinical pharmacist at least once a year to review their regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions as this process is an essential element of your ongoing care by the Practice.

Try the NHS App

If you’re a patient at our practice, you can use the NHS App to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.

It doesn’t replace existing services. You can still contact us in the usual ways.

But, once you have verified your identity in the app, you will have easy, 24/7 access to a growing range of health services and information. You can:

  • order repeat prescriptions
  • access NHS 111 online
  • find NHS services
  • view your health records
  • book appointments
  • and much more…

If you have any problems using the NHS App, you can select ‘help’ in the top right-hand corner of the app or visit nhs.uk/helpmeapp.
