Beechfield Medical Centre Achieves Prestigious 5-Star Quality Award
We are delighted to announce that Beechfield Medical Centre has been awarded a 5-Star Quality Early Warning Score (QEWS) Award, achieving an outstanding score of 93 out of 100.
The QEWS programme is an independent quality assessment framework used across primary care to evaluate the quality, safety and effectiveness of services. The assessment considers a wide range of areas including patient safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience, leadership, workforce wellbeing, accessibility, sustainability and continuous improvement.
Achieving a 5-Star rating is the highest level of recognition available and reflects the dedication, professionalism and hard work of our entire team.
The assessment recognised the significant improvements made across the practice in recent years, including:
- Introduction of our clinician-led Total Triage system to improve patient access
- Enhanced same-day care and urgent assessment pathways
- Improvements in patient safety, governance and quality assurance
- Development of innovative digital solutions to support patient care
- Strengthened support for vulnerable patients and those with long-term conditions
- Enhanced care home and community partnerships
- Commitment to workforce development, wellbeing and training
- Ongoing patient engagement and service improvement initiatives
The award also recognises the strong culture of teamwork, compassion and continuous improvement that exists throughout the practice.
